It is hard to believe that my baby is a year old. It feels just like yesterday we were welcoming Owen into the world. He has been such a sweet boy. Life would not be the same without Owen. Our family is more and more complete with each child we have had.

Owen was 9 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long when he was born. He was born at 11:17 a.m. on April 20th. I was in labor for only 3 hours. My epidural didn't work too great and I felt mostlly everything with him. But he came fast and that was good. Owen was a very mellow baby. Very calm and so loveable. I never really put him down.

A complete momma's boy since birth

This morning when Owen woke up the boys ran into his room along with dad to get him. We brang him into our bedroom and sat him on the bed and we all sang Happy Birthday to him. He was all smiles. He really has a sweet smile that just makes me laugh. He is really giggly and he will spontaneously through his body back and good thing he was on our bed for a soft landing.

We made pancakes for his breakfast. We put a candle in it and he wasn't quite sure what to do with it, so I blew it out for him.

Then we played over at Grandma's house with the other kids and had a fun day. It was beautiful weather up until this evening when a huge storm blew in. April showers bring May flowers right? It was beautiful to watch and the boys had a fun time running in the wind and watching the lighting and listening to the thunder.

We decided to have his birthday dinner and party tomorrow nigth since the timing was better for everyone. So there will be more to come.

I have no idea where to begin. I have neglected for so long, I am not sure what to say. I have lots of pictures believe me but my computer is being really retarded right now. Our internet is not working all that great so it will be awhile before I can post some. Be patient with me!
Spring is here. There is evidence of it all around us. The trees are blossiming, flowers budding and the green grass is starting to show itself. I Love spring! You know the saying, "April showers, bring May flowers?" Well that is pretty much our April in a nutshell. I swear we have seen rain almost every single day since the month started. We have had a few occassional days that were nice, the sun was out and my kids could play outside. May better so worth all of this rain. We have a little cabin fever in this household.
Easter/Conference weekend was nice. The weather was not so nice but nonetheless we still had an egg hunt and the kids wore their winter attire to find the eggs. We had dinner at our home this year. We had the Lukes over and lots of family too. It was nice to be all together.
Lance was busy with work. He has taken on another job that he seems to enjoy right now. He just got back last night from Oklahoma. He was there for a convention for work. We sure missed him. While he was gone we camped out over at my parents for one night. It was fun for the kids and they had a good time with my parents.
We registered Keaton for kindergarten last friday. He was so excited because he knew about half of the kids that will be going to school there. They took all the kindergarten age children back to the room for a classroom setting and to work on an art project while we(the parents) stayed behind to have orientation. I feel confident that it will be a good move for him and that he is ready for it. He is really really excited to start in the fall. Now I just need to find a pre-school group for Andrew in the fall. He is really excited for that too.
That is it so far. Not very interesting but we are alive and doing well. We are just keeping pretty busy.
