Owen turns 1

It is hard to believe that my baby is a year old. It feels just like yesterday we were welcoming Owen into the world. He has been such a sweet boy. Life would not be the same without Owen. Our family is more and more complete with each child we have had.

Owen was 9 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long when he was born. He was born at 11:17 a.m. on April 20th. I was in labor for only 3 hours. My epidural didn't work too great and I felt mostlly everything with him. But he came fast and that was good. Owen was a very mellow baby. Very calm and so loveable. I never really put him down.

A complete momma's boy since birth

This morning when Owen woke up the boys ran into his room along with dad to get him. We brang him into our bedroom and sat him on the bed and we all sang Happy Birthday to him. He was all smiles. He really has a sweet smile that just makes me laugh. He is really giggly and he will spontaneously through his body back and good thing he was on our bed for a soft landing.

We made pancakes for his breakfast. We put a candle in it and he wasn't quite sure what to do with it, so I blew it out for him.

Then we played over at Grandma's house with the other kids and had a fun day. It was beautiful weather up until this evening when a huge storm blew in. April showers bring May flowers right? It was beautiful to watch and the boys had a fun time running in the wind and watching the lighting and listening to the thunder.

We decided to have his birthday dinner and party tomorrow nigth since the timing was better for everyone. So there will be more to come.
